Estro is situated high up, and takes advantage of Cairo's sunshine with its mainly outdoor atmosphere, along with an overhead shade that can be opened and closed. This allows it to have a great view and atmosphere, with the golden sunlight enhancing the food's appearance. The seats are comfortable and the large tables allow for a good family atmosphere. The restaurant is often packed with people, but not loud.

Estro's menu stays true to traditional Italian cuisine. Some interesting menu items include the carpaccio, polpo alla griglia, and tagliatelle al ragu. It also serves gluten free pasta, gellatto, and a wide range of drinks and cocktails. I ordered the bocconcini di bufala fritti, risotto al funghi, and a tiramisu for dessert.

In terms of portions, the restaurant serves excellent, filling plates with simple but clean presentation. The fried cheese came with a marinara sauce that tasted very well-seasoned and the temperature was perfect. My favorite dish was the risotto - and I made sure there was extra freshly-grated parmesan on top! It was creamy and flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection. In my opinion, Estro has the best risotto in Cairo. The tiramisu was quite large, but very fluffy and light. It was clear that all the food was freshly made, although the service was still great, and the waiters were very polite. Overall, my lunch costed about LE 500. This seems a bit expensive, but I think it was worth it considering the beautiful atmosphere and excellent food.
